For the record, ETH has definitely not earned the title of “ultra sound money,” though I know the ethereans love that phrase. Maybe it can over time?
And while I support and am excited for the merge, it demonstrates why ETH isn’t (yet?) sound money: because it’s still changing.
Cars charged by electricity: good.
Sound money supercharged by electricity: bad.

$ETH – Exchange Inflow (Total)
Exchange inflows for #Ethereum spiked to 1.8 million on September 13th.
#btc was at C$400 when Trudeau was first elected. 70X our money would have protected us against a leader who believes “budgets balance themselves” and is actually scared of #math (as he admits).
You work for an irresponsible leader. #truth
If Canadians followed Pierre Poilievre’s investment advice, they would’ve seen their life savings destroyed. No wonder he wants people to forget.
Pushing risky economic policies and then pretending like it never happened—that’s not responsible leadership.

Alternative viewpoint: the world is realizing that ESG is a giant scam and increased energy production is essential for human flourishing moving forward. Bitcoin helps that increased production and Ethereum can’t. On top of that it’s not completely centralized.
3/ But yes, short term I think a lot of people see merge as a negative for BTC…specifically because it reduces Ethereum’s energy use by ~99%, thus making BTC more of a lone ESG target.

Congrats to #Ethereum for taking the next step to becoming a legitimate technology company!
The PoS protocol allows the founder/CEO and management team to be increasingly shareholder-friendly.

I think Americans significantly underestimate how much the ordinary British person hates Americans.
12/ Anyway, I think it’s more clear than ever that BTC and ETH are not competitors.
They’re going after different markets with fundamentally different tech and approaches. Merge will make the differentiation even more clear, which is good for both.

At least so far, seems like everything went very smoothly. Markets bizarrely calm. Looking at price action, you’d have no idea we just experienced one of the most momentous and risky events in the history of cryptocurrency. https://twitter.com/AriDavidPaul/status/1570250297444044801
Happy Merge night! No idea what’s in store, but let’s savor the audacity of changing the engine of a $200b asset and protocol live. One of the highest stakes financial events in human history. 🍿 Hopeful for a relatively smooth transition.
Sorta true. I typed man in russian and it came up with v masculine pics only because that’s the culture there. Typed man in american, and it’s not like it was effeminate but it wasn’t as traditionally masculine as it used to be. Shift in values etc. idk where I’m going with this
@gainzy222 The chaos they are talking about is probably all the infighting trash political narratives they plant on us.
Like Chinese tiktok has campaigns to make men more masculine, stronger & increase testosterone.
Western tiktok has campaigns to stay beta, masculine is toxic e.t.c.
